Developer Relations at SkyNet Labs

Remote

About the job

We’re looking to add a new member to our Developer Relations team — someone capable of identifying, evaluating, and contributing to the technical projects and protocols that will influence the decentralized web in the years to come. This person should enjoy educating others about new technologies and be excited about finding new communities and projects that they can build alongside in a creative and open way. In addition to understanding and supporting the needs of developers in the Skynet ecosystem, this role will engage in active research. They’ll provide insight to the Skynet Labs team about emerging web or crypto trends and assess potential integration projects and grants programs, often through hands-on building.

The role requires enough technical knowledge to understand projects at a high level, how they fit into the web3 ecosystem, and how they might interface with Skynet’s products. It demands a hacker’s mentality and initiative, but not necessarily formal software engineering experience. Ultimately, we’re trying to find someone with a passion for a decentralized future: someone who can look at the ongoing explosion of innovation that’s currently taking place within our community and crypto, identify the most exciting and complementary projects for us to collaborate with, and help those partnerships succeed through content-creation and code.

Reporting to our Developer Evangelist, this Developer Relations team member's primary goals will be to grow the Skynet developer ecosystem and help developers flourish once they join the community. The ideal candidate possesses a unique combination of technical skills, research ability, and communication acumen and is open to learning and building in public. This is a full-time position, open to workers in timezones GMT-10 to GMT+2.
