Senior Developer Advocate (U.S., Canada, EMEA Remote) at GridGain
We’re looking for a Senior Developer Advocate who is ready to join one of the most rapidly growing open-source communities and help application developers to succeed with the adoption and usage of Apache Ignite and GridGain.

Reporting to the Vice President of Developer Relations and Product Marketing, and working remotely, you will help the team to advance its mission: turning Apache Ignite into a technology that is as ubiquitous as Apache Hadoop, Cassandra, Kafka, Spark (we’re already close to this goal!)
This position is a remote position and can be located anywhere in the United States, Canada or EMEA.
Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Work shoulder to shoulder with the Ignite community by supporting and sharing knowledge with Ignite application developers.
Educate application developers by creating innovative content such as written and video tutorials, technical blog posts, code samples, and other learning materials.
Conduct instructor-led training sessions that are prepared by the education team.
Have a strong vision for where the industry is going and meet and engage with the developers online and in-person to collect feedback, help overcome technical challenges, facilitate the design and development.
Champion the technology by speaking at conferences, podcasts, and other external events.
Design and execute a plan to improve the overall developer experience.
Skills & Requirements:
5+ years in software engineering and development (Java).
Experience in social engagement and communication.
Comfortable with speaking engagements.
Experience in creating written or video educational materials.
Experience working with Developer Relations on open source projects is a big plus.
Native English speaker or the advanced English proficiency level.
Ability to travel to in-person conferences and local meetups in the USA.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with readily available references to recently published content.
Experience in conducting training classes.
2+ years of experience as a Developer Advocate.
Active participation in existing open-source or other technical communities
Prior experience running user groups, events and speaking at conferences.
Experience having worked in a remote team and collaborating across time zones.
