As a cloud advocate, you’ll work closely with internal-to-Microsoft and external DevOps communities. This role requires a strong understanding of DevOps patterns and practices across the technology spectrum. Most importantly, strong communication skills are required to share DevOps ideals to technical and executive audiences.

Some of the activities a cloud advocate may contribute to are:
Represent Microsoft in DevOps communities through contributions to open source projects, participation in online communities, user group and conference talks, blog posts, and videos
Advice and assist internal Microsoft teams with DevOps transformations, helping our teams to level up
Advocate to product teams to ensure that community patterns are supported in Azure’s products and tools
Facilitate feedback from the DevOps community to Azure’s product groups
Ensure that the DevOps community can be successful with Azure through our documentation and Microsoft Learn content

Working knowledge of CI/CD, source control practices, and automation
Operations and/or development work experience
Experience with infrastructure as code tools
Experience with one or more scripting or programming languages
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms
Experience with public speaking, video content, or other forms of delivering presentations
Active member of one or more DevOps communities (online or in-person)
