Manager of Developer Community and Relations at Marqueta
We are seeking a talented manager to lead the strategy and execution for our developer community and relations. Marqeta’s platform is built by developers for developers. Supporting our developers is critical to the success of our platform. The right person for this role has a passion for Developer Relations - to build, engage and grow our developer ecosystem. You will establish strong relationships with developers in a scalable way through online and offline channels. You will foster local developer communities, plan for events and programs to educate and inspire developers, champion their interests, and translate their feedback into actionable product insights.
You are a strong writer, communicator, and relationship builder. You understand developers and have a strong understanding of their motivations and interests. You are self-driven & creative at work through issues when there are challenges. This role will work closely with external customers & internal teams including marketing, creative, product & engineering. You will play a critical part within the Marketing team and will help build & scale the Marqeta brand during this exciting time of massive fast-paced growth.

Own developer community and relations strategy & execution
Build an online community that fosters engagement and passion for modern card issuing
Demonstrated success in building an ecosystems
Detail-oriented: capable of managing complexity with many demand channels
Advocate for developers' needs internally within the company to improve our overall developer platform
Monitor developer satisfaction and be an internal champion for the resolution of critical developer issues
Hack on new and unique ways to grow and better engage our developer community
Develop an online meetup strategy to engage developers through virtual events
Create & execute a Customer Marketing plan that uses our highest impact customers to tell the Marqeta story to build credibility & help acquire new customers
Set clear goals, measure KPIs & constantly use data to learn, improve & prioritize
5+ years of technical B2B marketing experience with a focus on developer relations and marketing
Has a passion for developing developer communities
Natural passion for always putting the developer first & constantly building developer empathy to understand their motivations & pain points
Effectively collaborates with cross-functional teams including marketing, creative, sales, customer success, product & legal.
Ability to build strategic plans & execute them flawlessly
Must be highly motivated and can find creative solutions when there are customer challenges
Ability to be highly professional with strong communication & relationship skills when interacting with external customers
