The Global Leader, Developer Community and Engagement will work cross-functionally to plan and execute industry-leading developer events and advocacy programs, designed to engage, inspire, and support developers.
Solace is looking for an experienced and highly motivated leader to take our developer-focused events and our developer community building to the next level. The Global Leader, Developer Community and Engagement will work cross-functionally to plan and execute industry-leading developer events and advocacy programs, designed to engage, inspire, and support developers. They will play a key role in shaping our developer community experience and infrastructure to build growth, engagement, and success with Solace technology.

The Cool Stuff You’ll Do
Develop, manage, and drive the success of our global developer events programs (private workshops, public workshops, code labs, conferences etc.), working with our developer advocate and SE teams, and in partnership with field and product marketing.
Develop and spearhead programs to drive Solace developer community growth and engagement.
Collaborate on our community content strategy and work with our Community Manager and other stakeholders to help execute it.
Represent the developer community internally, sharing feedback, requirements and opportunities that might inform product roadmap and better product marketing, documentation, web content, events, learning and more.
Lead an internal steering group focused on the continual improvement of the developer journey to and through our products (free and paid), from awareness and interest to conversion (download, sign-up), support, success, and advocacy.
What You’ll Bring to the Role (if you have it all we’d be blown away)
Enterprise software field marketing and events experience
Experience building and growing communities (preferably developer focused) with a SaaS or internet based company
Experience working as a developer/working closely with developers, in enterprise contexts
And you’ll be a self-starter, organized, a great communicator, and someone who can thrive in a role with clear objectives but loose boundaries.
Nice to Have Skills and Experiences
Technical background (education in a technical domain – engineering or similar)
Software development capabilities and experience
Public speaking skills: an ability to confidently host select virtual events, to speak at big internal events like SKO, to lead local meetups, etc.
Experience in customer onboarding, loyalty/retention and/or professional services
Experience working in product management and/or product marketing
