Global Head of Developer Relations (DevRel) at Tricentis
The Global Head of Developer Relations will report into Chief Product Officer org and will design and execute a plan to improve the developer experience with the Tricentis products, which will include highly technical content and meetups, hackathons, and other events to promote the products and solutions to the developer and technical tester communities.
We aspire to build and be the best platform for testers, Developers and devops engineers that elevate their work and enable them to accelerate their application delivery. This is a highly visible and prestigious role responsible for establishing and leading the team that builds awareness and supports Tricentis community. With the Shift-Left movement pushing more and more testing into development and growing adoption of test-first design, you will help make it easy for developers, devops and test engineers to benefit from Tricentis tools, expand channels for our community to provide feedback that informs our products and documentation, ignite and cultivate communities and inspire influencers to become raving fans. You will also focus on driving the adoption of Tricentis products and services across the globe.
The Global Head of Developer Relations will report into Chief Product Officer org and will design and execute a plan to improve the developer experience with the Tricentis products, which will include highly technical content and meetups, hackathons, and other events to promote the products and solutions to the developer and technical tester communities. In addition, Tricentis fully embraces Open Source Software (OSS) as a crucial part of our product strategy. Our current initiatives include Flood Element, Specflow and TestProject. This role will seek to expand these communities and increase our presence and participation in other OSS communities.
Location: U.S. Based preference (Atlanta, GA / Mountainview, CA / or Remote U.S.)
The Developer Relations team will collaborate with several teams inside Tricentis:
Work with Product Management, UX and Engineering to bring feedback to make our products, services and documentation better and also support product releases with developer/devtester education collateral
Work with our Product Marketing organization to plan and help create engaging developer content for our blog, videos, social media, and other outlets
Work with our Education team to enhance our training
You are obsessed with making developers/devops/devtesters happy
You enjoy teaching, speaking and writing about cool new technologies
You are at ease engaging with other developers on and offline
You were a full-time developer in a previous life but now live and breathe community
You have established your brand among developer/devops/tester communities and have a proven track record with inspiring speaking engagements and articles in blogs and technology publications (and you have videos/docs to provide it)
You have a high technical IQ and the ability to engage with developer communities in a credible way
You collaborate with teammates across the entire portfolio to identify, define, and solve strategically important projects and initiatives.
You have the spirit of a community organizer and you love to build, connect, inspire and engage
You are excited about participating in developer forums and support queues to help developers with coding problems
You have built and scaled developer relations, technical advocacy or community management functions in emerging and established global markets; your experience includes building, growing and nurturing a team of 5-20 developers/developer advocates/technical evangelists
You are committed to proactively offering regular, constructive feedback to others
You have experience defining product roadmaps and go-to-market strategies
You use your creativity and passion to generate grass-roots attention, support and adoption of developer-oriented products from key industry opinion makers and technologists in multiple developer communities
You have extensive industry contacts in IT/software markets
In 3 months you will be fully versed in the Tricentis continuous testing platform and assess our current developer-oriented content across the entire portfolio and presence in relevant communities; you will prepare a strategic plan for building/igniting the dev/devtester community
In 6 months you will build a small team of dev/devtester advocates and make progress on your DevRel strategic plan, engaging various communities around the world
In 12 months you build a visible community of super fans who help us scale the DevRel team and expand the developers/devtester communities around the world
