Help build the developer ecosystem for the Google Assistant, the best way for users to get things done. The Assistant integrates with Google's biggest software properties and is available on several devices to users across many countries and languages.
In this role, you’ll work cross-functionally with software engineers, product managers, product marketers and UX teams to improve our developer platforms. You’ll lead efforts to produce sample code that demonstrates engineering best practices for Google Assistant integrations. You’ll help shape our client libraries and tooling that enable developers to efficiently integrate with the Assistant developer platform. You’ll convey feedback from external developers, review technical designs, and validate new APIs and features.
As a Developer Relations leader, you’ll provide expert guidance to your team on the direction, scope, and goals of engineering tasks while steering our content strategy to meet the needs of internal and third party developers. You’ll work methodically to grow your team’s engineering and advocacy capacity. You’ll build high impact, cross functional Developer Relations teams that drive adoption of the Assistant developer platform. The teams you lead will enable some of the top engineering companies in the world to efficiently integrate with the Google Assistant.

Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
7 years of experience as a software engineer, developer, or equivalent technical experience.
Experience working with JavaScript, Java, Kotlin, PHP, Python, Ruby, Node.js, Go, iOS, Android Mobile App development, and/or web technologies.

Preferred qualifications:
Experience with public speaking and crafting presentations.
Experience building and maintaining significant native Android Apps.
Experience with non-Android ecosystems such as web or iOS.

Responsibilities
Be an expert in the APIs, tools, and products that integrate with Assistant on Android.
Lead the creation of tooling, samples, and validation of new developer features as they’re built.
Be familiar with the needs of our community and represent them to our product and software engineering teams, to guide the direction of tooling and APIs used by internal and external teams integrating with Assistant on Android.
