Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience as a software engineer, developer, or equivalent technical experience.
Experience working with JavaScript, Java, Kotlin, PHP, Python, Ruby, Node.js, Go, iOS, Android Mobile App development, and/or web technologies.

Preferred qualifications:
Experience writing and maintaining complex Android codebases.
Experience with public speaking and crafting presentations.
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively.

In this role, you’ll work cross-functionally with software engineers, product managers, and user experience (UX) teams to improve our developer platforms. You’ll write sample code that demonstrates engineering best practices for Google Assistant integrations. You’ll design and write customer libraries and tooling that enable developers to efficiently integrate with the Google Assistant developer platform. You’ll convey feedback from external developers, review application programming interface (API) designs, and validate new APIs and features. You’ll also interact with our community on social media.

Responsibilities
Help with testing and building of APIs for developer features before they are released.
Lead the design and development of tooling, sample code, and customer libraries as part of the Google Assistant ecosystem.
Support the professional development of a team of developer relations engineers and technical writers.
Design and advocate for platform capabilities in anticipation of developer community needs and work with leadership to ensure the needs of developers are being met.
Assist developers in learning key concepts and features of building with Google Assistant.
