Community Director - Remote at VerticalScope
VerticalScope is seeking a director of online communities to develop, grow, and improve our portfolio of 1,600+ enthusiast forums into top-ranking discussion venues of choice.
As Community Director, you will help scale, coach, and foster a staff of professional Community Managers charged with keeping forums safe, civil, and secure. You will lead directorial oversight of the Community Management department and integrate with Product, Engineering, Commerce, and Sales to ensure our communities are well-served.
Develop Community Management department goals, strategies, and guidelines.
Build and scale a department of professional Community Managers, including oversight, coaching, and performance management of the team.
Monitor, measure, and report on community health metrics, KPI, and OKRs.
Stay informed with respect to the industry, best practices, and emerging opportunities.
Develop and implement new strategies and initiatives that improve community health, retention, and growth across the platform.
Package and presentation of content from our communities for stakeholders and partners.
Minimum of 7 years of Community Management in a professional setting.
Proven track record of hiring and developing community management staff.
Impeccable communications and writing skills.
Outstanding interpersonal skills.
Passion for online community management as a discipline and practice.
Strong organizational leadership capability with exceptional strategic and operational problem-solving skills.
Mediation, presentation, and moderation experiences are a major plus.
